characterful rooms, stunning garden views, unique location

The hotel is severely outdated and requires a comprehensive refurbishment!!! The annoying droning sound in the room and the impractical spiral staircase make for an unwelcoming experience!!!

The location of The Castle in Brecon impressed me right from the start. Exploring the beautiful surroundings was a treat. The family room felt cozy, and my kids loved having their own space to play. The breakfast each morning was truly delicious, with friendly staff ensuring we had everything we needed. the hotel could use some refurbishment. worn out areas

The hotel had a lovely atmosphere and the staff were genuinely friendly, which made our stay enjoyable. the room felt smaller than expected, and some areas appeared a bit worn out. Breakfast was delightful, but check-in was a little more structured than I'd prefer.

    great selection breakfast
    flat-screen tv

    not great this time

The breakfast had a great selection, with fresh pastries and various fruit juices. The twin room had a flat-screen TV, tea/coffee maker, and a private bathroom with free toiletries. it was cramped with a stained carpet and black mould in the bathroom. Heating was poor and overall maintenance was lacking.

    spacious room
    comfy bed
    great location
    limited parking

    Convenient location, but not impressive

Location was perfect for exploring the town. Our room was spacious and the bed comfy, but the overall vibe felt kinda outdated. Breakfast was okay. just your usual eggs and toast. We were hoping for more variety though. parking was a bit of a scramble – not enough spots for everyone. Wouldn't rush back, honestly!

I had a pleasant stay at The Castle in Brecon. The spacious cottage provided a cozy retreat, making our visit enjoyable. Although the breakfast service could improve, the comfortable room made up for it. Would love to return for a longer stay next time!
